Parish Elementary School

Our Lady of the Visitation is a graded school offering an eight year sequential educational program. It is operated, supported, and directed as part of the parish sponsored educational program, pursuant to the policies of the Archdiocesan and Area Commission on Education.

Our Lady of the Visitation School exposes children to an atmosphere that allows for integration of religious truth with the rest of life. We believe that we have entrusted to our care individuals who are unique and special. It is our task to help prepare them for their roles in life through development of the whole person.

Admission Priorities
Children already enrolled at OLV School shall have first priority in registration and acceptance for the following year provided they register at the designated time.

Any available places will then be filled in the following order:

1. children of contributing parishioners who have siblings already enrolled at OLV
2. children of contributing parishioners whose older children attended OLV School
3. the first child of a contributing parishioner living within parish boundaries
4. the first child of a contributing parishioner living outside parish boundaries

The above being equal, date of parish registration will prevail.

Definition of a Contributing Parishioner
To be considered a contributing member in OLV Parish:

1. participate in the faith life of the Parish by regular attendance at Mass and
2. participate in the community life of the Parish by volunteering time and talents in ministries and organizations as able and
3. financially support the Parish on a regular, ongoing basis in addition to tuition.

Waiting List For Grades
For each school year, a waiting list will be established following above admission priorities. When a student who registers is placed on a waiting list for a grade, given a number and priority status, that student retains that status notwithstanding the admission priorities listed above.
