Pray A Minute Movement

Pray A Minute Movement

Pray A Minute: One Million Hours of Prayer for Peace, Justice and Goodwill The world feels heavy these days. News headlines are filled with injustices and unrest. It seems as though everywhere we turn we find division and disharmony in our country. The world desperately needs Christians united in prayer. A million hours of prayer may sound impossible, but if you divide that prayer time among all of the Catholics in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, it is just one minute of prayer a day. Just one minute. From now until January 1, the World Day of Prayer for Peace, you are invited to pray one minute more than you already do, every day, specifically for the intention of peace, justice and goodwill in our country. One more minute might not sound like much, but together with our brothers and sisters in faith, that minute can help change the world. Commit to praying at www.PrayAMinute.com. _________________________________________________________________________________ Pray A Minute: One Million Hours of Prayer for Peace, Justice and Goodwill Do you believe in the power of prayer? What might happen if every Catholic would pray just one minute more than they already do, every day, for the specific intention of peace, justice and goodwill? From now until January 1, the World Day of Prayer for Peace, Catholics from across the Archdiocese of Cincinnati are invited to unite in prayer for the spiritual renewal of our country. Together, we will pray one million hours! Learn more and commit to doing your part at www.PrayAMinute.com.

Unified Cincy Prayer Walk

Unified Cincy Prayer Walk

Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 10 AM - 12 PM

Yeatmans Cove Park

705 E Pete Rose Way, Cincinnati 45202

Our world is aching for unity. While our situation might seem hopeless, the church is uniquely prepared to offer hope. The message of reconciliation is central to the Gospel. That's why we are gathering together; people from every color, culture, and class around the Tri-State are taking God's message of hope on the move.

When we take our faith on the move, things change. Waters are parted, walls fall down, and healing takes place. God is calling us to take a step towards justice. Join us July 11th at 10am.

I will go before you and make the rough places smooth; I will shatter the doors of bronze and cut through their iron bars. Isaiah 45:2

We strongly encourage you to wear a mask and respect social distance guidelines of staying six feet apart.

Immigration Task Force Project

Immigration Task Force Project

Over the last couple years, our Immigration Task Force has endeavored to reach out to those incarcerated by ICE in the Butler County Jail. We've sent them a post card to - at minimum - let them know that they are not forgotten, that they are loved, and that we are praying for them. In some cases, those incarcerated have sought out help, and through our network of partners, we've tried to provide assistance. If you are interested in getting involved in this project, we'd love to have your help (because there are a lot of folks being held). Please send an email to Andrew Musgrave, (amusgrave@catholiccincinnati.org), our director, for more information and/or to sign up. Please prayerfully consider this great opportunity to stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters who are truly and fully on the margins.

Immigration Advocacy Opportunity The Supreme Court is currently considering the case for Dreamers (those currently protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program). Concurrently, the House has already passed H.R. 6 which would provide critical permanent legal protection to DACA recipients, and the Senate is considering its partner bill, S. 874, the Dream Act of 2019 (both of which are supported by the US bishops conference). We encourage you to take action, encouraging our Senators to support this legislation. To do so, please click here. We also encourage you to reach out directly to our Senators and ask them to support the bill. You can reach Senator Portman's office at 513.684.3265 and Senator Brown's office at 513.684.1021.
